You've probably seen this on the super ill Just For Kicks sneaker DVD, but Etienne Biloa from TrustTheBuzz left the link in the Jeezy comment section (good lookin' out!) and it was just too fresh not to post. On top of that, it made me go back and look for the Run DMC 12" post and I realized that it never made it to the new site when we transfered everything over from our blogspot site. There are actually a bunch of 12" posts that never made it over so that is what's up with the previous Run DMC and Public Enemy posts... re-ups!

If you can think of a more important group to Hip-Hop culture than Run DMC then please let me know. Run DMC is THE greatest Rap group of all time and here are all the 12"s from THE greatest Hip-Hop album of all time - Raising Hell. Get it? I Run D MC's... this one is an ode to the greatest rap group ever by one of the most average rappers ever. Rampage the Last Boyscout was last seen on a milk carton and I haven't checked for him since "Wild For The Night", but I gotta admit this one is kinda fresh.

Treats #22 - Beastie Boys & Run DMC Live '87

This is a super drunken recording of the Beastie Boys 'Licenced To Ill Tour' live in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium on Feb 7th 1987. This was the height of the "Fight For Your Right To Party" era when the Beasties would get super drunk and completely bug out like a bunch of frat boys. What made this show extra dope was that the Beastie Boys brought out Run DMC as surprise guests. The sound quality is pretty doo dooish due to bootleg recording technologies in 1987 not being very advanced, but the recording is still very listenable.

RUN DMC are without a doubt the Greatest Hip-Hop Group Of All Time. That's an official title. This is a recording of the legendary group performing live at one of the most legendary venues in the history of music. This is the whole concert AND the sound quality is bad... not bad meaning bad but bad meaning GOOD! JMJ RIP.
