It's BIGGIE SMALLS day. March 9th. One of the few events that have happened in my life that I'll never forget where I was when I heard the news (the Bad Boy/BMG offices). At the time I worked for the label and we were just gearing up to promote Life After Death. "Hypnotize" was the biggest record of the moment and it was all systems go. Then my man Sol G told me the news... "Biggie was shot". Hip-Hop music has never been the same. After a series of mishaps delaying Lil Wayne's bid for the last 2 weeks (Google it if you've been living under a rock), he is likely to be released in October 2010 with good behavior. Can you say, "Syrup Withdrawal"?
